Max banka reached a net profit of CZK 304 million in 2023

Max banka did well in 2023. Under the wings of the CREDITAS Group, the company showed growth in all key business indicators. The audited net profit for 2023 amounted to CZK 304 million, whereas the year before the bank’s operations ended with a loss. The balance sheet total reached almost 64 billion and the number of clients reached more than 58,000 in December 2023. This is a year-on-year increase of 100%. The main driver of the results was attractive deposit products for the general public.

“We are pleased with the financial results we have achieved. The established business strategy focused on convenient and comprehensible products has clearly been successful, as evidenced by the 100% year-on-year increase in the number of clients and balance sheet total. Max banka jumped into profit in January 2023 and managed to continuously increase it during the year,” said Ivana Pícková, chairwoman of the board of Max banka.

In 2023, the bank significantly expanded the functions of its mobile app and Maxbanking internet banking and upgraded its internal banking system. In the second half of the year, it offered clients attractive rates on euro deposit products. The Neo current account, which is a savings account in Czech crowns, as well as its term deposits won awards from renowned industry competitions.

As part of its corporate social responsibility activities, Max banka provided financial support to the National Institute for Autism NAUTIS or the Czech Red Cross in 2023. Max banka is part of the CSR Association, has joined the #nePINdej campaign to protect against cyber attacks, the educational project Bankers to Schools, the Give&Gain volunteer initiative and the Green Challenge for the financial sector.
